Business Law Boutique Merges With Accounting Firm, Showcasing Possibilities of Deregulation in Arizona

While KPMG’s bid to deliver legal services in Arizona remains on hold, a midsize business law firm and an accounting firm—both with existing Alternative Business Structure licenses —announced a combination Wednesday, in a sign that entities of all sizes are looking to use the state’s program to expand the list of services they can deliver to clients.

Business advisory and accounting firm Aprio and law firm Radix confirmed that they entered into an exclusive letter of intent to join together to offer legal services in Arizona, which in 2021 instituted a permanent rule change permitting nonlawyer ownership of law firms.
