Bureau Veritas, a testing, inspection, and certification services company, has acquired The APP Group, an Australian property and infrastructure company.
The acquisition move, which was revealed early last month, is aligned with Bureau Veritas’ LEAP | 28 strategy, and aims to expand the company’s position in infrastructure and buildings and diversify its portfolio in the regional market.
This strategic move will enhance Bureau Veritas’ capabilities in project management assistance, construction management, and independent project verification and certification. The group will also benefit from a scalable regional presence.
Bureau Veritas, headquartered in France, employs 83,000 people across 140 countries.
The APP Group also offers assurance, compliance, independent verification, and certification services, particularly across major transport infrastructure projects in Australia.
Headquartered in Sydney, the group reported €87m ($7.93m) in revenues in 2023.
