BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — Boise State’s Blue turf voted best attraction for sports fans by USA Today.
USA Today announced that the Blue was selected by an “online public vote in USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice travel award contest,” the publication announced today.
The Blue beat out several notable sporting locations, including the Kentucky Derby Museum, the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic museum, the College Football Hall of Fame, Pro Football Hall of Fame, and the Field of Dreams Movie Site, among several others.
BSU reported that last year, “Approximately 17,000 visitors from all 50 U.S. states and 37 countries set aside time to visit the attraction. Tourists and fans can view The BLUE on weekdays, on non-Bronco football game days, by visiting the Hall of Fame.”
BSU is away this weekend as they face off against Hawaii. The Broncos won’t play on the Blue again until November 1, when they play San Diego State.
