Bloomingdale’s has announced the first New Jersey location of its new small-format shop Bloomie’s.
The chain’s fourth Bloomie’s will open at The Grove in Shrewsbury at 615 Broad St. on Thursday, Nov. 14.
The Bloomingdale’s offshoot will be situated between Vineyard Vines, Lovesac and Sephora.
Its smaller footprint measures about 21,000 square feet, compared to the popular department store’s massive shopping space with multiple floors.
“This gives us the flexibility to grow and adapt with each market to best meet the needs of the local customer,” a spokesperson for Bloomingdale’s explained.
Bloomie’s Shrewsbury will offer a curated assortment of all-women’s contemporary, ready-to-wear apparel, shoes, accessories, beauty and fine jewelry. Customers will be able to shop popular designer brands also sold at the original Bloomingdale’s stores, including Mother, Veronica Beard, Rag & Bone, Cinq a Sept, L’Agence, Staud, Tory Burch, Chanel Beauty, Charlotte Tilbury and Roberto Coin.
The store will also offer several services at its front desk, including fashion styling, returns, pickups, alterations and gift wrapping. Plus, it will house grab-and-go café Forty Carrots with a menu of frozen yogurt, smoothies, salads and sandwiches.
Two grand opening events are scheduled at the new store: the Bloomie’s Winter Village and Holiday Bash. The Bloomie’s Winter Village on Nov. 14 will include a ribbon-cutting, winter-wonderland-themed brand activations and giveaways.
The Bloomie’s Holiday Bash will follow on Saturday, Dec. 7 with a private sip-and-shop before the store opens for the day. Throughout the rest of the day, shoppers can enjoy brunch bites, music, giveaways and gifting, and a meet-and-greet with Santa.
Bloomie’s Shrewsbury will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
This will be Bloomingdale’s eighth retail store in the Garden State. The department store, whose parent company is Macy’s, operates four full line shops in Bridgewater, Hackensack, Short Hills, and Wayne, along with two outlets in Paramus and Elizabeth. A third outlet is opening in Lawrence Township on Friday, Nov. 1.
The new store also follows the opening of three Bloomie’s nationwide in the Mosaic District in Fairfax, Virginia, the Old Orchard in Skokie, Illinois, and the University Village in Seattle, Washington. Each one has a different assortment of fashion and accessories for women and men along with a Colada Shop in Virginia and bCafé in Illinois, instead of Forty Carrots.
