Amazon Prime Day is back for 2024, and hundreds of deals are now officially live across this online shopping platform, including tech. In fact, it may be the perfect time to upgrade your phone, with top-tier Apple, Samsung, and Google phones seeing huge price cuts.
Starting with the Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max. This premium flagship is now available with an eye-catching discount as it’s slashed by £150 in Amazon’s sale, bringing it down from £1,199 to just £1,059. With four models in the range, choosing the right iPhone can be a daunting task, but this one boasts the largest 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR display, top-tier triple-lens cameras, and lightning-fast A17 Pro processor inside.
If you’re an avid social media user who frequently films reels and TikToks, or if you often run multiple apps simultaneously, we’d recommend the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Its superior camera quality and robust processing power are ideal for these tasks – it also makes it fully compatible with the upcoming Apple Intelligence update which will launch later this year. Plus, its unique Titanium material adds not only adds a touch of class but also cuts down its weight.
If you don’t think you need all that grunt and fancy features then cheaper iPhone 15Â should suffice.Â
To point out how good this Prime Day deal is, Apple is still selling the Pro model for the usual £1,199 price, while other retailers including Carphone Warehouse are selling it SIM-free for £1,099. From what we’ve seen this is one of the cheapest upfront deals going.Â

Turning our attention to Samsung, three devices have particularly caught our eye. The first is the brand-new flagship Galaxy ZFlip 6 smartphone, which launched just last week.
If you’re in the market for a device with a flip screen and a professional-grade camera, look no further. Amazon has recently reduced the price of its pre-order bundle – which includes the new 512GB device and a pair of Galaxy Buds 3 Pro wireless earbuds – to £1,231. This is £136.80 less than the cost of pre-ordering these two items separately, making it a deal worth considering.Â
Although, if you have an older device to trade-in we’d recommend Samsung’s own store over Amazon Prime, as you’ll be able to get money off when you trade-in an old phone.
Another Samsung model making a splash in the 2024 Prime Day sale is the budget-friendly Galaxy S23 FE. The standard model is now £100 off, priced at £649 with a generous 256GB of storage. The more affordable S23 FE is available for £549, but the £100 price difference doesn’t quite compensate for its smaller battery life and screen size, in my view.
In addition, Amazon is offering significant saving on the Google Pixel 8 Pro. The most substantial saving is on the Pixel 8 Pro, with a whopping £300 off – the biggest mobile deal so far. The smaller Pixel 8 has been discounted by £150, and is cheaper than Google’s own flagship store price of £649.Â
Choosing the right mobile can be a daunting task, given their hefty price tags even during sales. Therefore, I’d always advise taking the time to explore rival sales and check historical prices.
Mobiles.co.uk offers the iPhone 15 for the same £100 discount – it might be worth checking if they offer additional benefits. Customers may also want to compare Amazon’s prices with Samsung’s Galaxy ZFlip6 and Galaxy ZFold6 pre-order deals, which come with a range of freebies and perks courtesy of Samsung.
If Amazon isn’t up your street then Sky Mobile’s rival iPhone offers may catch your eye, as well as Samsungs newest trade-in offer on its swanky new Galaxy ZFlip6 and Galaxy ZFold6 devices.
There’s one crucial aspect of Amazon’s 48-hour sale that everyone must adhere to, and those who don’t will miss out on grabbing the price cuts. You have to be a Prime member, which typically costs £8.99 per month but you can now secure a free 30-day trial to access the deals without spending a penny.Â
