SPRING TWP., Pa. – Some students from Berks Catholic went shopping for a good cause Friday morning.

14 students from the school’s “Interact Club” completed the monthly grocery run for the Veterans Making a Difference Food Pantry.

They filled shopping carts at the Giant in Spring Township with everything from produce and meats to TV dinners and canned items.

The students say it’s important to give back.

“There’s a lot of people who aren’t as privileged as us and don’t have the opportunities we have. So, we try to go out as a team to bond, but also give back to our community,” said Elizabeth, activity chair for the club.

On Saturday, the students will take the food and distribute it to veterans in need.
