It’s the dead of winter, meaning most of us have nowhere to go and nothing to wear (or at least, no desire to leave the house in anything but a floor-length puffer). The opposite seems to be true for Bella Hadid, whose surplus of vintage outerwear is in heavy rotation thanks to her recent shopping trip in chilly New York City.
As the supermodel stepped out yesterday, she made the most of her time in the snowy city streets, first stopping by SoHo for a Saint Laurent shopping spree before boarding a helicopter at Hudson Yards. Hadid made the most of her coat collection too, switching up her look for each occasion with two retro jackets.
Starting the day with some relatable retail therapy, she dropped by the Saint Laurent store dressed in plenty of pieces from the French fashion house. Up top, she wore a black aviator jacket, layering the luxe leather coat over a sheer collared dress. Suede knee-high boots put a seasonally-appropriate twist on her accessories, while a vintage Fendi leopard print purse lent its own playful touch to the ensemble.
Hadid (unsurprisingly) continued her vintage streak when it came to other accessories, opting for a full set of ‘80s-esque chunky gold jewelry complete with a bangle and matching earrings. She coordinated the look with gold rings from Shay Pave and Bunkhouse Designs. A pair of oversized retro sunglasses framed her face, contrasting her slicked-back updo.
Later, the model was photographed inside the Saint Laurent store, where she could be spotted trying on an array of styles (including a delicious Matrix-style leather coat). Considering she left the flagship store with two massive shopping bags in tow, it’s safe to say Hadid found something she liked.
Following her trip to the SoHo boutique, she changed into a vintage shearling-trim coat by Dolce & Gabbana. Bundled up in the burnt orange suede jacket, the Chopard spokesmodel looked like she stepped right out of the ‘70s, and a pair of similarly retro Chanel Pilot sunglasses helped her double-down on the era.
Still, Hadid’s definition of boho definitely varies from the original: In hand, she carried a Damier-print Louis Vuitton Keepall bag, while on foot, she wore a pair of brown, buckled Celine boots. And, like any seasoned street style pro, she finished off her outfit with a coveted collab, adding a cheeky yellow bag charm from Cactus Plant Flea Market to her checkered purse.
