SAN MATEO, CA — Peninsula residents have a new option for working up a sweat at the new Basecamp Fitness gym that opened this month in San Mateo.
Founded in 2013, Basecamp Fitness focuses on high-intensity interval training, focusing on a coach-led group format that packs a 50-minute routine into 35 minutes. The newest fitness studio is headed up by Brett Livingstone, who operates five Anytime Fitness gyms and plans to open another Basecamp Fitness in Millbrae over the summer.
“As I looked to broaden my business portfolio, I knew Basecamp Fitness would be a natural fit due to the rising demand for group fitness and overall effectiveness of the workout,” Livingstone said. “I’m proud to introduce Basecamp Fitness’ spirit of health and wellness to the San Mateo community and show our new members what Basecamp Fitness has to offer.”
Residents can learn more about membership packages on the fitness studio’s website or give them a call at 650-651-6184.
