The Lakeshore Humane Society recently received $897 from patrons of Spike Dailey’s on the Dunkirk Boardwalk.

The money came from all the cash signed and left on the wall in the tavern’s 17 years of business. It got passed on to the humane society in the form of a Lake Shore Savings Bank check. Aisling Heenan, Spike Dailey’s owner, is a big dog lover who has had rescue dogs and five paralyzed dogs. Heenan thanked everyone who supported the business over the years, and all the patrons who signed and donated money to the wall.
