Asheville’s Bold Rock location closing permanently due to Helene, business says

Bold Rock’s Asheville location is closing its doors for good due to the damages caused by Helene.

The business told News 13 in an email that it made the difficult decision recently.

“It is with sadness that we announce the closing of our Bold Rock Asheville taproom. After the losses from Hurricane Helene and continued market challenges, we are unable to continue operating in this location,” Bold Rock said in the email. “We have loved being a part of the Asheville community and being able to welcome so many through our doors.”

Bold Rock, which makes a variety of ciders and offers food and other local beers, has its headquarters in Nellysford, Virginia. It also has locations in Charlottesville, Virginia; Crozet, Virginia and locations in North Carolina, including Mills River and Charlotte.

The only location closing is the one in Asheville, the business told News 13.

“We are grateful to be able to continue welcoming guests nearby in our Mills River location or at our cidery in Nellysford, Virginia and taproom in Charlotte,” the business said.
