The Launch Place in Danville has been selected as a grant provider and will receive up to $1 million to offer business advisory services, the company announced Monday.
The Danville-based group that provides investments, entrepreneurship development and business consulting services will be a Technical Assistance Grant Program provider under the Virginia Small Business Financing Authority, a news release reported.
The program will provide money for things like legal, accounting and financial advisory services. It’s designed for companies preparing for support from state or federal small business programs.
As a provider, The Launch Place will take on the responsibility of offering the services to “Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Individually owned businesses and Very Small Businesses small business owners preparing for capital support from small business programs,” the release stated.

In addition, the Danville group also will connect companies directly with funding sources.
