On Monday, Israeli forces shot a Palestinian young man near Jenin, and another in the city of Qalqilia, and destroyed infrastructure in the city of Jenin and Tulkarem, in the northern and northwestern parts of the West Bank.
Media sources said that Israeli forces shot a Palestinian young man after invading the town of Ya’bad, west of Jenin in the northern occupied West Bank.
Sources added that occupation forces stormed Ya’bad town on Monday evening, sparking protests from local Palestinian youths.
Soldiers fired live rounds and concussion grenades at those who resisted the incursion, shooting a young man in the hand with live ammunition; he was transported to hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, occupation forces shot a Palestinian young man during a military invasion of Qalqilia city, in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank.
Media sources said that on Monday evening, Israeli soldiers shot a young man in the back with live ammunition while he was present on “Al-Wad Street” during the incursion.
Sources added that the injured young man was transported to Darwish Nazzal Governmental Hospital in Qalqilia where he was deemed in stable condition.
In the afternoon, the army invaded the city of Qalqilia from its southern axis and roamed through the “Al-Habash” neighborhood; there were no reports of protests or abductions.
Furthermore, a large Israeli force, including bulldozers, invaded the city of Jenin, on Monday at dawn, surrounded the Jenin Governmental Hospital, and invaded various neighborhoods in the city.
Media sources said that military bulldozers razed one of the entrances to the Jenin Governmental Hospital.
Later, Dr. Wissam Bakr, the director of Jenin Governmental Hospital, told the WAFA News Agency that occupation bulldozers completely destroyed the street leading to the eastern entrance to the hospital, impeding the passage of ambulances.
Sources added that the army bulldozers caused severe destruction to the city’s streets, affecting the entrances to many citizens’ homes and commercial shops, and damaging citizens’ vehicles.
Occupation forces razed levelled the Horse roundabout and razed streets in the eastern neighborhood, which were rehabilitated after the previous attack on the city.
In related news, occupation forces invaded the city of Tulkarem in the northwestern part of the West Bank, encountering fierce resistance from Palestinian fighters in Nur Shams refugee camp, east of the city.
Media sources said that before dawn on Tuesday, Israeli forces stormed Tulkarem city and besieged the Martyr Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital, followed by reinforcements.
Sources added that occupation bulldozers destroyed streets and infrastructure in the city, while infantry units were deployed in the streets of several neighborhoods.
The army surrounded the Nur Shams refugee camp, while armed Palestinian resistance fighters exchanged fire with the invading soldiers and targeted armored vehicles with crude explosive devices.
