Army Kills a Palestinian, Injures Others, Destroys Infrastructure, in Jenin

Israeli forces killed a Palestinian man, on Wednesday night, injured several citizens and abducted others, during a prolonged military assault on the northern West Bank city of Jenin and its refugee camp.

The Palestinian Health Ministry announced that the citizen, Abdullah Mohammad Saeed Saadi, 53, succumbed to a critical gunshot wound inflicted on him by occupation forces.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said that its ambulance crews transported a critically injured citizen to hospital for treatment, while sources at the Ibn Sina Hospital said that they received a seriously injured man who was shot in the thigh, later announcing his death.

The PRCS added that occupation forces shot Saadi with three live rounds while he was in the “Hursh Al-Sa’ada” neighborhood in the western part of Jenin city.

Media sources said that Israeli soldiers besieged a home in the “Hursh Al-Sa’ada” neighborhood, opened fire at the home with live rounds, and ordered the citizen, Ibrahim al-Qanari to surrender himself to the army.

Soldiers abducted the brothers, Ahmad and Ziad al-Qanari, from the area before withdrawing from the besieged home.

Sources added that the army stormed the eastern neighborhood of the city, while armed Palestinian resistance fighters exchanged heavy fire with the invading army, while military reinforcements were pushed towards the city.

Occupation forces abducted two residents of the Jenin refugee camp while they were present in the German neighborhood of Jenin city.

On Wednesday afternoon, Israeli forces shot two young men with live rounds during the Israeli military incursion into Jenin city which began in the pre-dawn hours of Wednesday.

Sources at the Ibn Sina Specialized Hospital received a young man who sustained a live round in the back and another who sustained a live round in the hand; they were deemed in stable condition.

The army continued its invasion of the city, pushing reinforcements towards the Jenin refugee camp and many neighborhoods in the city.

Occupation forces broke into many citizens’ homes in the Jenin refugee camp and cut the electricity to several neighborhoods in the city and camp.

Earlier in the afternoon, military bulldozers arrived at the Jenin refugee camp, and proceeded to destroy streets and infrastructure.

Media sources said that Israeli soldiers opened fire at two young men on a motorcycle and caused a fire to ignite in a home after firing live rounds, tear gas canisters, and concussion grenades at it.

Sources added that the army invaded the home of Qassem Al-Asmar, before occupying the home and converting it to a military barracks; one unidentified citizen was abducted from the home.

Earlier, the PRCS said that its ambulance crews transported a young woman to the hospital after she was shot in the back with live ammunition.

In the morning, the army invaded the home of the slain woman, Wafaa Jarrar, detonated the main door, ransacked the home, and subjected her son to interrogation.

Media sources said that sharpshooters were deployed on the rooftops in the vicinity of the refugee camp, while reconnaissance drones flew overhead, while local Palestinians protested the incursion.


On Tuesday, Israeli forces killed eight Palestinian citizens, six of whom were killed near Jenin in the northern West Bank, while two others were killed near Tubas, in the northeastern part of the West Bank.

The slain Palestinians were identified as;

1. Hani Ali Bani Awda, 52,
2. Aref Mohammed Aref Bani Awda, 40,
3. Shawqi Fayyad Hassan Asous, 40,
4. Mohammad Hassan Musa Asous, 44,
5. Abdullah Khaled Abu Zaid, 22,
6. Majdi Hamza Saba’neh, 22,
7. Omar Mustafa Saba’neh, 23, and
8. Nasr Kamil, 18.

Since the beginning of the Israeli military onslaught against the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, Israeli forces have killed 778 Palestinians in the West Bank, including 167 children, and injured 6,300.

The distribution of those killed in the West Bank is as follows; 208 in Jenin, 179 in Tulkarem, 81 in Nablus, 76 in Hebron, 59 in Ramallah, 61 in Tubas, 48 in Jerusalem, 30 in Qalqilia, 20 in Bethlehem, 12 in Jericho, 12 inside Israel, and 4 in Salfit.

Since October 7, 2023, Israeli forces have killed 43,391 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, most of whom are women and children, and injured 102,347 citizens, while the bodies of thousands of citizens remained buried under the rubble of the devastated coastal enclave.
