SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. (WBKO) – Three Allen County businesses have come together to continue their tradition of providing a low-stress shopping experience for those on the lookout for last-minute Thanksgiving menu items.
The Status Crowe, Hogue Farms, and the Local Good organized a small pop-up market the day before Thanksgiving, offering locally sourced sides, baked goods, ingredients, and desserts for those looking to finalize their Thanksgiving meals.
Hosted at The Status Crowe, a Scottsville ice cream parlor specializing in vegan and dairy-free ice cream, the pop-up market was a success last year, encouraging the business owners to continue their tradition for last-minute shoppers looking to avoid crowded grocery stores.
“Laurie and I had talked about it afterward and talked about how it was probably one of our best days of the year last year, so yes, it was very popular, we had a lot of people in and out throughout the day so we decided to do it again,” explained Carol Crowe, owner of The Status Crowe.
The pop-up market remained active from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27.
The Status Crowe’s Facebook page is updated regularly with additional events, including more pop-up markets, trivia nights, and karaoke events.
