It was a massive night for footy fans on Wednesday when NSW finally beat Queensland at Suncorp stadium for the first time in 19 years.
And among the many southern state fans cheering the Blues on to a 14-4 win, Alex Cullen was one of the loudest and proudest.
But the Today sport presenter went a bit too hard and rocked up to the studio this morning barely able to speak.

“Alright it’s time for sports, but given Alex’s failing voice post Origin, you know, their one win every ten years, we’re going to give you some time in the bin,” Karl Stefanovic told his co-host.
“And in his place, not that we need Alex to get nervous or anything, but a former All Black from the ’80s is here.”
While he may be more an All Blacks wannabe, it was none other than another New Zealand national treasure, Richard Wilkins stepping into Alex’s shoes.
“I’ve never covered sport before,” the Nine entertainment editor revealed.
“Does this mean I’m taking Alex’s spot in Paris next week?”
