Air China will resume flights between Shanghai and Barcelona on 27 August after a four-year hiatus following the Covid-19 pandemic.
The three-times-weekly service will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays with Airbus A350-900 aircraft, which offer business, premium economy and economy cabins, with inflight wifi available in all cabins.
Flights from Barcelona will depart at 12:40, arriving at Shanghai Pudong Airport at 06:50 the following day, while flights from Shanghai will depart at 00:45 and arrive in the Spanish city at 08:05.
The Chinese carrier is looking to restore its capacity to Europe’s major cities, having recently resumed its Beijing-Barcelona service as well as flights from Shanghai to Munich and increased services to Geneva. In June, the carrier also launched a new daily service between Beijing Capital Airport and London Gatwick.
