AIA Louisiana awards, Magnolia Community Services names board president

David Gallo has been installed as board president of Magnolia Community Services.

Gallo is CEO and president of Gallo Mechanical and has years of nonprofit community leadership.

Magnolia Community Services provides service, leadership and advocacy for individuals with developmental disabilities in the Greater New Orleans area.

Suzanne H. Stinson has been elected chair of the Judiciary Commission of Louisiana and 3rd Judicial District Court Judge Bruce E. Hampton has been elected vice chair.

Stinson, of Bossier Parish, succeeds Orleans Criminal District Court Judge Robin D. Pittman as chair. She is a retired court administrator for the 26th Judicial District Court in Bossier City. Stinson serves as president of the board of Geaux4Kids, an advocacy organization for children placed in foster care. She earned a bachelor’s, magna cum laude, a master’s in business administration and a master’s in industrial/organizational psychology, all from Louisiana Tech University.

Hampton, of Ruston, succeeds Stinson. He was elected judge in 2018 after spending 37 years as an attorney in Louisiana, Texas and Mississippi. During that time, Hampton served as an assistant district attorney and counsel for the Union Parish Police Jury. He earned a law degree, magna cum laude, from Tulane University School of Law and a master of laws degree from Southern Methodist University.

The Judiciary Commission of Louisiana is a nine-member body that reviews allegations of judicial misconduct and recommends appropriate discipline.

Hannah Hubbell and William Netter were honored by the American Institute of Architects Louisiana.

Hubbell, an architectural designer with NANO Architecture/Interiors of New Orleans, received the Associates Professional Achievement Award. This is the highest award given to individual Associate AIA members and recognizes leadership and a commitment to the industry.

Netter, an architect with EskewDumezRipple of New Orleans, was honored with the Emerging Professional Award. The award is given to individuals who have shown exceptional leadership and made significant contributions to the profession in the early stage of their career.
