A Delray Beach elementary school was just ranked 6th best in Florida by U.S. News

Seven Palm Beach County elementary schools are among the best 50 in the state, including one in the Top 10, according to a new ranking by U.S. News & World Report.

Morikami Park Elementary remained in the Top 10 public elementary schools in Florida, rating at sixth overall. It’s a slight drop from last year, when the Delray Beach area school was rated No. 5.

Of the seven schools that made the Top 50, six are operated by the Palm Beach County School District. The other, A.D. Henderson University School, is a public “lab school” operated by Florida Atlantic University on the university’s campus.

The best public elementary school in Florida? According to U.S. News, it’s Jacksonville Beach Elementary in Duval County.

No. 6 — Morikami Park Elementary, Delray Beach

No. 20 — A.D. Henderson University School, Boca Raton

No. 21 — Equestrian Trails Elementary, Wellington

No. 30 — Waters Edge Elementary, Boca Raton

No. 42 — Marsh Pointe Elementary, Palm Beach Gardens

No. 43 — Beacon Cove Intermediate School, Jupiter

No. 45 — Calusa Elementary, Boca Raton
