Google Is Expanding Gemini Live By Adding More Than 40 Languages For Its AI Voice Chat

Must read

Google has made vigorous efforts on the AI front, and its Gemini Live is proof of that as it is a more natural and human-like conversation version of the generative AI and allows users to communicate in real-time and get replies that are more contextually aware. Initially, the chatbot was rolled out in English alone, but the tech giant is now expanding the services by offering support for more languages.

Google is extending Gemini Live support on Android by adding more than 40 languages

Gemini Live seems to be the talk of the town not only for setting itself apart from other AI chatbots by allowing for a more natural back-and-forth communication but also for its continued expansion to a wider user base. Last month, Gemini Live was made available to users through its Gemini app for free without having to sign up for Gemini Advanced. There was another update about the feature being made available to all English-speaking Gemini users, and now it seems that Google is extending it even further.

Google is now set on rolling out Gemini Live extensively by expanding support for more than 40 languages in the coming weeks. The services will be expanded starting today and will initially include German, French, Hindi, and Portuguese, and in the coming weeks, we will be adding more languages and even incorporating more features. Google has not specified the timeframe for the full release, but given the history of the Gemini Live launches and how prompt the extension of the chatbot has been, we can expect an even earlier-than-expected timeline.

Although Google has not shared the specifications regarding the languages Gemini Live would support, we assume the vast majority of users would be covered. The app is also said to come with multilingual interaction capabilities, where users can have conversations in two different languages simultaneously. The broadening of language support would help make Gemini Live available to many new users and widen its user base. Gemini Extensions is also undergoing improvements that include a better understanding of users’ needs through their interactions with Google apps.

Google has also kept everyone on the hook by promising more Gemini functionalities making their way to the Keep, Calendar, and Tasks and users should expect the extensions to start coming out in the month of October.
