John Wheeler to speak at AgEnergy Luncheon in Jamestown

JAMESTOWN — The Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce AgEnergy Committee announced the annual AgEnergy
Luncheon begins at noon Tuesday, Oct. 15, at North Dakota Farmers Union headquarters in Jamestown.

This year’s event will feature a presentation by WDAY Chief Meteorologist John Wheeler speaking on “Weather and Climate in North Dakota: Perspective Over A Career.”

Wheeler, a seasoned meteorologist with a degree in meteorology from Iowa State University, has been with WDAY since 1985. Known for his keen interest in extreme weather events, particularly arctic air outbreaks and winter storms. His presentation will cover extended weather patterns and their impact on agriculture, offering insights for the region’s agricultural community.

Tickets for the luncheon are available for $10 and can be purchased online at JamestownChamber.com or in person at the chamber office, located at 120 2nd St. SE, Jamestown.
