Earlier this year Android’s new “The Bot” mascot got an updated and adorable new mini figure, and now Google has started selling one that glows in the dark.
“The Bot” is Google’s updated and most adorable Android mascot to date, having started rolling out in early 2024. Not long after its debut, a new mini-figure arrived as well from Google’s long-time partner in Dead Zebra.
Now, the Google Merch Store has started selling a variation on that figure, with a new Android collectible that glows in the dark.
The 3-inch vinyl figure has the same design as the normal green one, but is white in the daylight. In a dark environment, though, it glows. Google explains:
Don’t worry about the lights going out – this Android collectible keeps the fun going even after dark! It’s incognito during the day and glows when the sun sets.
There are, sadly, no images of the figure actually glowing, but the image of the box makes it clear that the figure glows green. We’ve got a couple of these on order, so we’ll report back on how the glow looks when they arrive.
You can put in your own order (only in the US) at Google’s store, but there are only a few hundred units in stock, so don’t delay! This new glow-in-the-dark figure is a little bit more expensive than the regular version, selling for $21.
