GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – After a long-standing shopping center in Greenville was demolished, we’re learning more about plans for a new concept to fill its place.
In July, the Terrace Shopping Center on Augusta Road was sold and torn down. County officials said the building had code violations, but residents were concerned about what might replace it.
Pintail, a commercial real estate agency, released renderings of plans for Augusta Gateway, a “village-style retail center, geared toward serving the daily needs of its many surrounding neighborhood residents.”
The development is expected to include a mix of food, personal, and professional services in six stand-alone buildings. The anchor of the complex will be a 23,000-square-foot space that developers say is ideal for a boutique grocery, a hardware store, or entertainment use.
Construction is expected to be complete by early 2026.
