FALCONER — Falconer/Cassadaga Valley/Maple Grove scored a pair of first-half goals and hung on late for a 2-1 Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 girls soccer win over Southwestern on Thursday at Bill Race Field.

Mary Lundmark scored in the seventh minute and Alex Caldwell scored in the 28th minute for the Herd (3-2-0, 1-1-0). Ellyson Baglia made four saves in net.

Avery Johnson scored with two minutes remaining for the Trojans (2-2-0, 1-1-0). Braya Beaver made one save in net.

HILLBILLIES EDGE OLEAN

FREDONIA — Cece Tonelli and Natalia DiPalma each scored a goal as Fredonia topped Olean 2-1 in Division 1 play.

Naomi Muck made five saves in net for the Hillbillies (4-3-0, 2-0-0).

Leea Kopp scored and Emma Edwards made 14 saves for the Huskies (1-4-0, 0-2-0).

AVA JIMERSON HAS HAT TRICK

FREWSBURG — Ava Jimerson netted a hat trick to lead Frewsburg past North Collins 8-0 in Division 3 action.

Audrey Eckwahl, Taytum Jimerson, Brionna Dumaine, Jaden Jimerson and Kealy Caflisch each added a goal for the Bears (6-1-0, 3-0-0). Eckwahl had two assists, while Ava Jimerson, Taytum Jimerson, Dumaine, Jaden Jimerson and Kaylee Cappa each had one. Elysse Gruber made one save in the clean sheet.

The Eagles fell to 2-2-0 overall and 1-2-0 in the league.

GATORS POUR IT ON

ALLEGANY — Allegany-Limestone led 2-0 at halftime and scored five goals in the second half en route to a 7-1 Division 1 victory over Jamestown.

Madison Honeck and Cait Kellogg each scored twice, while Abby Peck, Moira Walsh and Brogann Howard each added a goal for the Gators (6-0-0, 2-0-0). Addie Fisher had two assists, while Madison Honeck, Peck, Carley Barrey and Kennedy Honeck each had one assist. Chloe Baker made five saves in the win.

Kinsley Berg scored from Payton Gibbs, while Myah Crossley and Maya El Mohandis combined for five saves in net for the Red & Green (2-4-0, 0-2-0).

COLE NETS WINNER

MAYVILLE — Jada Cole scored an unassisted goal for Chautauqua Lake as the Eagles blanked Silver Creek/Forestville 1-0 in Division 3 action.

Lucy Gates made eight saves in net to earn the clean sheet for Chautauqua Lake (4-2-0, 4-0-0).

Silver Creek/Forestville fell to 3-3-0 overall and 0-2-0 in the league.

TIMBERWOLVES

WIN FIRST

CATTARAUGUS — Cattaraugus-Little Valley scored a goal in each half to win its first game and beat Pine Valley/Gowanda 2-1 in Division 2 action.

The Timberwolves improved to 1-5-0 overall and 1-3-0 in the league.

Sarah Kruszka scored from Samantha Collins for the Panthers (1-4-0, 1-2-0). Destiny Lindquist made two saves in net.

EAGLES SPREAD IT AROUND

ELLICOTTVILLE — Four different goal scorers led Ellicottville to a 4-0 victory over Salamanca in Division 2.

Jayden Doutt, Drew Ficek, Julianna O’Connell and Addison John scored for the Eagles (4-0-1, 2-0-1). Doutt also had two assists, while Courtney Marsh made six saves in the clean sheet.

The Warriors fell to 2-3-1 overall and 2-2-0 in the league.
