Swinney Asked About Stellato’s Role Moving Forward

Must read

CLEMSON- Through the first two games of the season, Troy Stellato has accounted for two catches for 23 yards.

With the emergence of freshmen Bryant Wesco and TJ Moore, Stellato’s presence has been overshadowed a bit, although he has logged more than 50 snaps in the first two games. While the redshirt junior has dealt with numerous injuries throughout his career, so far he has been healthy in 2024.

Head coach Dabo Swinney was asked on Wednesday what he thought of Stellato’s performance early on in the season.

“He has done well,” Swinney said. “He is one of those guys that missed some time but got him back before the first game.”

After being limited over his first two years due to injuries, Stellato broke out last season, reeling in 33 catches for 321 yards and a touchdown.

Swinney was also asked about Stellato’s role moving forward with the head coach maintaining the wideout is still one of the players in that receiver room that they will be counting on each and every week.

“Proud of him,” Swinney said. “One of those guys that we are counting on every single week. Need him to continue to be ready and take advantage of his opportunities.”
