Fredonia edges Jamestown 3-2

JAMESTOWN — Cece Tonelli scored twice and added an assist as Fredonia edged Jamestown 3-2 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 girls soccer action Tuesday evening at Strider Field.

Piper Walnicki added a goal, while Nora Polhamus and Juliana Snyder each had an assist for the Hillbillies (3-3-0, 1-0-0). Naomi Muck made 12 saves in net for Fredonia.

Payton Gibbs had a goal and an assist, Kinsley Berg had a goal, and Madison Burgess had an assist for the Red & Green (2-3-0, 0-1-0). Maya El Mohandis and Myah Crossley combined for six saves in net.

BEARS ROLL PAST WOLVERINES

WESTFIELD — Frewsburg scored six times in the first half and three more times after halftime en route to a 9-0 Division 3 win over Westfield/Brocton at the NorthLake Family Recreation Complex.

Ava Jimerson led the way with three goals for the Bears (5-1-0, 2-0-0), while Jaden Jimerson added two goals. Taytum Jimerson, Brionna Dumaine, Audrey Eckwahl and Kealy Caflisch also found the back of the net. Taytum Jimerson had three assists and Dumaine had two assists, while Eckwahl, Ellie Seiberg and Calynn Sigular each chipped in an assist.

Elysse Gruber and Ava Krofka combined for the clean sheet in net, but did not have to make a save.

The Wolverines fell to 2-3-1 overall and 1-2-0 in the league.

GATORS BLANK F/CV/MG

ALLEGANY — Allegany-Limestone scored a goal in each half en route to a 2-0 shutout of Falconer/Cassadaga Valley/Maple Grove in Division 1.

Cait Kellogg and Madison Honeck each scored a goal, while Abby Peck and Addie Fisher each had an assist for the Gators (5-0-0, 1-0-0). Chloe Baker made nine saves in net en route to the clean sheet.

Falconer/Cassadaga Valley/Maple Grove fell to 2-2-0 overall and 0-1-0 in the league.

CARNES NETS HAT TRICK

WEST ELLICOTT — Kaylyn Carnes netted a hat trick as Southwestern shut out Olean 7-0 in Division 1 play.

Marlana Cresanti added two goals and an assist; Avery Johnson had a goal and two assists; Lucy Brown had a goal; and Makenna Johnson, Emma Malmstrom-Jouannet and Ellie Giltinan each had an assist for the Trojans (2-1-0, 1-0-0). Braya Beaver needed to make just one save in the clean sheet.

The Huskies fell to 1-3-0 overall and 0-1-0 in the league.

CARDINALS, EAGLES TIE

ELLICOTTVILLE — Each team scored in the first half of a 1-1 Division 2 deadlock between Randolph and Ellicottville.

Sadie Steward scored from Gianna Bowles for the Cardinals (2-1-1, 2-0-1) and Jayden Doutt scored from Addison John for the Eagles (3-0-1, 1-0-1).

Stella Smith was credited with 14 saves for Randolph and Courtney Marsh was credited with 21 saves for Ellicottville.

BALANCED ATTACK FOR BLACK KNIGHTS

SOUTH DAYTON — Four different goal scorers sent Silver Creek/Forestville past Pine Valley/Gowanda 4-0 in nonleague action.

Carilene Sliwa and Abby Cook each had a goal and two assists, while Ryleigh Hanner and Marissa Grisanti added the other goals for the Black Knights (3-2-0, 0-1-0 CCAA D3). Kimberly Bauer made six saves in the clean sheet.

Destiny Lindquist made 16 saves for the Panthers (1-3-0, 1-1-0 CCAA D2).

THREE SCORE FIRST GOAL

SALAMANCA — Five goal scorers, including three who scored their first varsity goal, led Salamanca past Franklinville 5-0 in Division 2.

Brielle Massagli’s first-half goal gave the Warriors (2-2-1, 2-1-0) a 1-0 lead at the break.

After halftime, Kyla Dry scored from Arleigh Chudy, Leilene McComber and Keira Bova scored unassisted goals, and Aaliyah Winship scored from Gracie Auman.

Aaliyah Gates earned the clean sheet with two saves.

The Panthers fell to 0-4-1 overall and 0-3-0 in the league.

EAGLES STAY UNBEATEN IN D3

MAYVILLE — Chautauqua Lake scored three goals in each half en route to a 6-0 win over Dunkirk in Division 3.

The Eagles improved to 3-2-0 overall and 3-0-0 in the league.

The Marauders fell to 0-4-0 overall and 0-3-0 in the league.
