JACKSON COUNTY, MI – Get a taste of some authentic Mediterranean cuisine, and a newly renovated walk-in clinic has opened.

Chick-fil-A is on its way to Jackson in 2025

It’s official, Chick-fil-A is expected to expand its footprint with a Jackson location in 2025.

The popular fast-food chain announced Wednesday, Sept. 4, that it plans to double its presence around Michigan with 25 to 30 new locations by the end of 2028.

One of these locations is in Jackson, company officials said.

Galazio is bringing authentic Mediterranean cuisine from the east coast to Albion

This eatery wants to offer something aside from typical burgers and fries in the Albion and Jackson areas.

Galazio of Albion opened two years ago by owner Sean Hare, who said he wanted to bring authentic Greek and Mediterranean cuisine to the area. The restaurant offers a small, but mighty menu of homemade pasta, salads, soups and wraps.

What’s that? New self-storage development taking shape in Spring Arbor

A new development is taking shape in Spring Arbor to bring some new storage units to the area.

A property located across the street from Hobbit Greenhouses, 5996 Spring Arbor Road, will be the new home of a Jackson Self Storage location. Construction began back in May to build the new facility that will fill customers’ storage needs, owner Doug Dysert said.

Renovated, larger walk-in clinic opens at the Center for Family Health in Jackson

A newly renovated walk-in clinic is ready for guests at the Center for Family Health in Jackson.

The health center, 505 N. Jackson St., began construction in January to expand its clinic and pharmacy near downtown Jackson. The clinic officially opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Tuesday, Aug. 27 and is ready to serve clients, officials said.

Grab a bite at this new Jackson café – and help uplift women at the same time

A new Jackson café is more than just a place to grab some coffee. It’s also where a nonprofit is helping women reach their goals.

SOAR Café and Farms, which stands for “She Overcomes And Rises,” celebrated the grand opening of its new café on Wednesday, Sept. 11, inside the former Anna’s Gifts & Home Décor, 401 N. Mechanic St.

The café serves salads and sandwiches, all while helping women gain work experience and build their resumes, CEO and Founder Michelle Cochran said.

La Esquina Mexican Café brings this breakfast bowl from Mexico to Jackson

La Esquina Mexican Café opened two years ago to offer authentic Mexican cuisine near Jackson.

Since opening, owners Judith and Josue Orozco have made some changes to the menu, including offering some new items, including the breakfast bowl, Judith said.

The breakfast bowl was inspired when the two went home to Jalisco, Mexico in January. They ate the dish at a small restaurant in town and decided to bring it back to Jackson, Josue said.
