Krenzer, Czekanski 2nd at Fredonia HS

Salamanca’s Ryanna Brady won the girls race and Gowanda’s Chase Bolen won the boys race during Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association cross country at Fredonia High School on Tuesday.

Brady won the girls race in 21:08, but the Warriors were incomplete as a team. Gowanda won the team race with 25 points, led by Rhianna Woods in third place. Fredonia was second with 44 points, paced by second-place Izzie Czekanski. Falconer/Cassadaga Valley was third with 59 points, led by eighth-place Morgan Robbins.

In the boys race, Bolen’s time of 17:37 paced the Panthers to a first-place finish with 28 points. Fredonia was second with 44 points, led by second-place Trenton Krenzer. Falconer/Cassadaga Valley was third with 68 points, led by fourth-place Gabe Lundmark. Salamanca was fourth with 90 points, led by 10th-place Aiden George.

KENT, LEWIS SHINE IN FREWSBURG

FREWSBURG — Frewsburg’s Cody Kent won the boys race in 17:23 and Southwestern’s Emma Lewis won the girls race in 19:04 at Robert H. Jackson Elementary School.

Clymer/Sherman/Panama won the boys and girls team races. Third-place Finn Fadale paced the Wolfpack boys, while second-place Tess Flikkema led the girls.

Clymer/Sherman/Panama finished with 24 points, followed by Franklinville/Ellicottville (44) and Southwestern (69) in the boys race.

Clymer/Sherman/Panama won the girls race with 27 points, followed by Frewsburg (54), Southwestern (62) and Franklinville/Ellicottville (84).

MAPLE GROVE BOYS, GIRLS SWEEP

ELLERY — Ethan Verbosky won the boys race in 16:39 as Maple Grove took the team title with a perfect score of 15 at Maple Grove Jr.-Sr. High School.

Silver Creek/Forestville was second in the boys race with 57 points, led by 12th-place Benjamin Bock. Olean was third with 71 points, paced by 10th-place Cruz Clark.

Leah Mays won the girls race in 21:03 as Silver Creek/Forestville finished third with 64 points. Maple Grove was first with 20 points, led by third-place Presley Haines. Olean was second with 59 points, led by 11th-place Rachael Dulmus.

LITTLE VALLEY — Jamestown won the boys race with 17 points and the girls race with 30 points during action at the Cattaraugus County Fairgrounds.

The Red & Green’s Clevon Wofford won the boys race in 17:57, while Allegany-Limestone’s Elexa Duggan won the girls race in 21:02.

There were no other complete teams competing.
