The Pixel 9 series launched less than two weeks ago with four members including a vanilla Pixel 9, two Pros and a foldable. That leaves room for one more device in the A-series and we have our first live look at the upcoming Pixel 9a.
From the front, the device looks just like the recent crop of Pixel 9s with a flat display and punch hole cutout for its selfie cam. The bezels appear to be thicker than those on the Pixel 9 and 9 Pro models which would not be a surprise given the Pixel 8a also had thicker borders than its siblings.
The sides of the 9a appear to be made from aluminum like the Pixel 9 and feature the same matte finish. The SIM slot, USB-C port, and speaker all located on the bottom. Around the back, the 9a gets an all-glass back with a small camera bar housing the dual cameras and a glossy ring around the sensors which sits almost flush with the back.
The new leak suggests the Pixel 9a is launching towards the end of this year and will be available in four colors including black (pictured above) and silver. The device is expected to launch with Google’s new Tensor G4 chipset.
