MEQUON — A new flower shop combining two beloved Milwaukee area florists has officially bloomed at 11090 N. Weston Drive in Mequon earlier this month.

La Terre, the European-style flower and gift market that first opened its doors in the Mequon Public Market in 2019, has moved across the street into the Foxtown Station that opened last year .

“Thank you to everyone who joined us for the ribbon cutting (Aug. 7) with the Mequon Chamber of Commerce,” owner Sally Vander Wyst said. “Serving our community here in Mequon is an honor.”

La Terre has also merged with Milwaukee Flower Co., which specializes in luxury wedding décor. Vander Wyst started her Milwaukee- based shop in 2013 and has been practicing floristry for more than 18 years.

She bought La Terre in early January after La Terre Founder Meg Hopkins was looking to transition.

Though customers can expect the same uniqueness and high-quality flower designs with a continued outstanding level of service, the store has expanded its offerings to include five times the space for gifts, a flower bar and arrangements.
