The Forum on China and Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) is scheduled to be held in Beijing from September 4 to 6. This is the second gathering after the one in Beijing in 2018. This year’s forum is themed “Joining Hands to Advance Modernization and Build a High-Level China-Africa Community with a Shared Future.” A series of activities, including the opening ceremony, a welcome banquet and gala performance, high-level meetings, and the Conference of Chinese and African Entrepreneurs, will take place. Bilateral meetings will be held on the sidelines as well.
CGTN is holding a series of roundtable discussions with officials and business leaders from Africa who have witnessed the steady growth of friendship between China and Africa ahead of the event. The second episode focuses on Kenya. Joining us at the round table is Kenyan Ambassador to China Willy Bett, Executive Chairman of Alliance of Chinese Business in Africa for Social Responsibilities Diao Chunhe, and postgraduate student at Beijing Jiaotong University Jamlick Mwangi Kariuki. The discussion is on business cooperation in infrastructure, China and Africa friendship and opportunities ahead.
