Brown County sees 2.29% population growth, credits infrastructure projects

(WLUK) — The population is Brown County is growing.

According to preliminary 2024 figures, Brown County saw a 2.29% population growth since the 2020 Census.

As ofJanuary 1, 2024, the population for Brown County is274,897, which is 6,157 more residents since 2020.

“Thanks to the wise infrastructure investments made by Brown County, our population continues to grow in areas supported by sales tax projects,” says Brown County Executive Troy Streckenbach. “Projects like the VV-29 Interchange, the South Bridge Connector (SBC), and the Denmark Business Development Corridor (DBDC) have led to those municipalities growing their population since the COVID-19 pandemic, affirming Brown County’s rationale for supporting these infrastructure projects.”

  • Village of Hobart saw 6.79% population growth, thanks to theVV-29 Interchange project
  • Village of Howard saw 9.15% population growth, thanks to theVV-29 Interchange project

Brown County ranked third most out of 72 counties in Wisconsin for adding residents.
