Nothing says back to school like back-to-school savings.
As summer comes to an end, shopping centers and malls in Palm Beach County welcome families and their students to the latest classroom trends. Florida’s week of tax-free school supplies is coming up, and so are the back-to-school shopping events. From July 29 to Aug. 11, parents and guardians can purchase many of their students’ necessities tax-free.
Here are a few notable local shopping events happening during the tax-free holiday:
Tanger Outlets Palm Beach’s Back-to-School Bash
Tanger Outlets Palm Beach invites shoppers to start the upcoming school year off right with a Back-to-School Bash. On Saturday, Aug. 10, families can enjoy face painting, live music, photo moments and giveaways while they shop for the latest back-to-school styles. Members of the TangerClub can earn exclusive deals.
The bash kicks off at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10 and ends at 4 p.m. The free event is open to the public and takes place between Columbia and Forever 21 stores at Tanger Palm Beach Outlets. 1751 Palm Beach Lakes Blvd.West Palm Beach. For more information, visit tanger.com/palmbeach.

The Mall at Wellington Green’s Back-to-School Block Party
The Mall at Wellington Green is hosting a back-to-school block party for members of their free, 10-and-under Kids’ Club. The club offers monthly activities for young ones, such as book readings and creative classes. The block party consists of a performance from a local dance group, photo opportunities, crafts, a kid-friendly workout session and gift card giveaways. The first 250 attendees will also get a lunch box filled with snacks.
The party is taking over the Grand Court of Wellington Green from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m on Saturday, Aug. 10, at 10300 Forest Hill Blvd, Wellington. For more information, visit shopwellingtongreen.com.
The Gardens University Back-To-School Event
EA College Football 25 player ratings: Florida State, Miami, UCF on list
Florida State and UCF had one player apiece in the top-100 player ratings, while the Miami Hurricanes saw three make EA Sports’ initial list.
The Gardens Mall is throwing the first tailgate party of the season for all soon-to-be and current college students. By showing their college ID or acceptance letter, students will have access to root beer kegs, photo moments, games and four $10 vouchers to spend at select stores. Pre-registration can be done here.
The tailgate will take place at The Gardens Mall and last from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3. Vouchers are accepted until 8 p.m. 3101 PGA Boulevard Palm, Beach Gardens. For more information, visit thegardensmall.com.
