PORT WASHINGTON — Mercantile Plaza in downtown Port Washington is now offering professional artwork and memorabilia framing services. Professional framer Brian Preising has been a custom framer for over 40 years and will be collaborating with The Frame Shop at Mercantile Plaza to provide high-quality, customized framing, according to a press release.
“The vision for the Mercantile Plaza was to create a space that offered many of the things that were not already present in downtown Port Washington, such as a community lounge, fine art, a florist and other related services,” said Mike Christiansen, owner and general manager of Mercantile Plaza. “We are absolutely thrilled to be able to partner with Brian to offer professional framing to all of Ozaukee County and surrounding communities.”
Artwork does not have to be purchased at Mercantile Plaza to use this service. Lead times are generally two to three weeks, and all work will be quoted ahead of time.
The Frame Shop at Mercantile Plaza is open during normal business hours of 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday and Monday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday. They are closed Tuesdays. Preising will also be available for personal consultations on-site from 10 a.m. to noon Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays as well as by appointment.
