The Australian Department of Defence has selected Arc Professional Services as a partner for its Resilient Decision Highway (RDH) project.

The Resilient Decision Highway (RDH) project, initiated in 2019 by the Defence Science and Technology Group (DSTG), has as its goal to develop a technology platform that enhances collaborative problem-solving, situational awareness, and operational decision-making within the Australian Defence Force and its Five Eyes partners.

As part of the awarded contract, Arc Professional Services will collaborate with the project team to develop and maintain the RDH’s underlying platform infrastructure, create design user interfaces, and analytics.

Key deliverables include building and sustaining cloud-native platforms, building systems to support mission-agnostic analytics, enhancing user experiences for end-users, and automating current manual workflows to boost efficiency.

According to a spokesperson from the Department of Defence, engineers and consultants working on the project need a “comprehensive understanding of the Defence Operational Environment” and “modern software development”, in addition to the relevant security clearances.

Commenting on the project, Jeremy Stredwick, Managing Director of Arc Professional Services, said: “Our goal is to provide DSTG with seamless integration and exceptional cost-effectiveness. By reducing friction in our processes and focusing on direct project outcomes, we can deliver superior solutions quickly and efficiently.”

Founded in 2022, Arc Professional Services is a veteran-owned consulting firm from Canberra dedicated to serving defence and government clients. The firm is an accredited supplier on the Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) and was recently recognised as a Veteran Employer of Choice.

“We are proud to support the Resilient Decision Highway project and look forward to contributing to its success. Our team is dedicated to delivering high-quality, innovative solutions that meet the complex needs of our defence clients.”

The project comes as Defence prepares to unveil a three-year digital strategy that will provide a roadmap for its technology needs and transformation spanning sovereign capability and cloud infrastructure.
