NON-SANCTIONED 10-12 TOURNAMENT

Parker Wellman and Liam Mulkins combined on a two-hitter with 12 strikeouts as Mayville beat Dunkirk 6-1 on Wednesday.

Wellman threw 4 2/3 innings of two-hit ball, allowing one run and three walks while striking out 10. Mulkins got the final four outs with a pair of strikeouts for Mayville, which improved to 2-1 in Area A.

Mayville took a 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning. Chester Machemer walked and scored on Gage Donato’s RBI single. Lincoln Conway then doubled ahead of Webb’s two-run double.

Mayville went ahead 4-0 in the third as Donato singled and later scored.

Mayville’s final two runs came in the sixth. Wellman tripled, while Mulkins and Carter Crabtree hit RBI singles.

Valley went ahead 9-0 in the first two innings and beat Frewsburg 9-2 on Wednesday.

In Valley’s first inning, Brayden Beichner led off with a walk and Brody Beichner singled with two outs before a double steal plated the first run. Robby Martin followed with a two-run single and Jay Martin hit an RBI single before Frewsburg got the final out on a play at the plate.

In the second inning, Johnny Czosnyka and Maddex Seeley hit back-to-back singles before Brayden Beichner walked to load the bases. After Caden Lacki’s sacrifice fly, Ryker Jarvis hit an RBI double and Brody Beichner plated two more runs with a double.

Frewsburg’s two runs came in the top of the fifth as Collin Bragg singled and Bryan Heald hit a two-run home run to deep center field.

Cooper Davis threw four no-hit innings and struck out seven before Brody Beichner threw the final two innings and struck out four for Valley.

Lincoln Moller threw 3 2/3 innings of one-hit ball with five strikeouts in relief for Frewsburg.

Frewsburg scored in every inning except the fifth in a 12-5 defeat of Southwestern on Monday.

Jaxson Swanson went 3 for 3, including a triple, with three RBIs and three runs scored; Lincoln Moller had two hits, including a double; and Curtis Spielman had two hits, including a three-run single for Frewsburg.

Bryan Heald, Brayden Beckstrom and Collin Bragg combined on a three-hitter with 10 strikeouts on the mound for Frewsburg.

Andrew Cama had two hits and Owen Walburg doubled for Southwestern. Walburg, Jack Churchil and Cama combined for 11 strikeouts on the mound.
