Richard Eugene Fadale

Must read

Robert Eugene Fadale, known affectionately as Bob, passed away on July 5, 2024, in Jamestown, N.Y., at the age of 79. Born on January 26, 1945, in Dunkirk, Bob was a lifelong resident of the area and a friend to all in his community.

Bob was a kind and selfless man, always ready to lend a helping hand. His love for his family was immense, and he cherished his time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his beautiful loving wife, Janet Fadale (Halas) for 58 years and their three children, Angela Delaserna (Fernando), Scott Fadale (Chelli), and Amanda Fadale (Carmelo Torres), all residing in Las Vegas, NV. His legacy continues through his five grandchildren, Fernando Delaserna Jr. (Monique), Kaitlin Delaserna, Russo (Nicoli) Kristin Delaserna, Alex Delaserna, and Anaya Garcia, two great-grandchildren Eva and Luna Delaserna and two more great-grandchildren on the way.

He also leaves behind his siblings Donald Fadale (Sharon), James Fadale (Nancy), Beverly Leikam (Bill) and several in-laws Ronald Halas (Mary) of Powell, OH, John Halas of Rock Hill, SC and Debra MCCloskey (Dick) of Dunkirk, NY along with numerous nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Delores Fadale, his infant twin brothers, Daniel and David, and his brother Charles Fadale (Vivian) of Biloxi MS.

Bob was a proud graduate of Cardinal Mindszenty High School, class of 1963. Professionally, he was involved in the family business, Fadale’s Empire Distributing, and worked in various capacities at AL Tech, Casale Plumbing, and Beavertail Catering.

A member of St. Anthony’s Church in Fredonia, NY, Bob deeply valued his faith community. He was a proud member of Fenner Hose #2, Sicilian Historical Society, The Fredonia Beaver Club, First Ward Falcon Club, and The Lakeshore Street Rod Association. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and cooking — often catering events with his brother Jim. An enthusiastic sports fan, he never missed a game of the Buffalo Bills or the Buffalo Sabres.

A celebration of his life will be held at St. Anthony’s Church on July 20, 2024. The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Fredonia Volunteers Fire Department in Bob’s memory. Bob’s generous spirit and warm presence will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

All arrangements have been entrusted to Michael R. Fantauzzi, Owner and Director of the FANTAUZZI FUNERAL HOME, 82 East Main Street, Fredonia, NY.
