As part of the 10th-anniversary celebrations of the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) Programme, the European Climate, Infrastructure, and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) has unveiled a new interactive publication highlighting CEF Energy’s contributions to developing a robust and sustainable European energy network. This initiative, titled “Interconnected Sustainable Energy Infrastructure for Europe,” marks a significant milestone under the #10YearsofCEF campaign.
Launched during the Energy Infrastructure Forum on June 27, the digital publication serves as an interactive platform that showcases the extensive impact of CEF Energy across multiple energy sectors. The webpage features comprehensive narratives, vivid images, detailed data, and, notably, interactive maps that allow users to explore CEF Energy projects throughout the European Union.
The publication emphasizes key focus areas including electricity, smart grids, natural gas, CO2 networks, and renewable energy. It aims to demonstrate how EU investments in cross-border infrastructure over the years have significantly enhanced the continent’s energy networks, delivering tangible benefits to businesses and citizens.
Visitors to the interactive webpage can engage with the maps to discover detailed information about supported projects, underscoring the vital role of CEF Energy in achieving the European Green Deal’s decarbonization objectives for 2030 and 2050.
