John Henry Jackson has been named director of the U.S. Commercial Service New Orleans.
The U.S. Commercial Service is the trade promotion arm of the U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration and connects American companies with international buyers.
Jackson spent the past eight years as a senior international specialist in the New Orleans office. Before that, he worked for the Mississippi Development Authority.
He earned a bachelor’s, cum laude, in Japanese and international business from Georgetown University and a master certificate in global oil and gas management from Thunderbird School of Global Management.

Brent C. Wyatt and Nick S. Wise have joined the staff of Kean Miller.
Wyatt is a senior counsel practicing with the bankruptcy and business reorganization and commercial litigation groups. His practice is primarily focused on corporate litigation with an emphasis on debtor/creditor and bankruptcy and reorganization laws.
He earned a bachelor’s, magna cum laude, from LSU and his law degree, magna cum laude, from Tulane University Law School, where he was inducted into the Order of the Coif.
Wise is a senior counsel practicing with the energy and environmental litigation group. His practice is primarily focused on the representation of energy companies in litigation concerning alleged contamination and wetlands loss associated with historical oil and gas operations.
He earned a bachelor’s in information systems and decisions sciences from LSU and a law degree, cum laude, from LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center. Wise worked as a judicial extern to Louisiana Supreme Court Justice John L. Weimer and as a clerk to U.S. District Judge Tom E. Stagg, of Shreveport.

Krystal Critton has been named as project director for Geaux Far Louisiana, an initiative of the Louisiana Policy Institute for Children.
The coalition is designed to ensure access to seamless, high-quality early child development, health and educational services.
Critton spent eight years as an elementary teacher in Caddo Parish, then joined Junior Achievement of North Louisiana as director of programs and community engagement.
She earned a bachelor’s in communications studies with a minor in public relations from LSU.
Baton Rouge
Dr. Sean Shannon has joined the staff of Baton Rouge General.
Shannon, a certified rheumatologist, is seeing patients at the new Baton Rouge General Rheumatology clinic, 8585 Picardy Ave., Suite 512. The clinic diagnoses and treats a wide range of autoimmune and inflammatory conditions, from lupus and rheumatoid arthritis to gout and scleroderma.
He earned a medical degree from LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans. Shannon completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in rheumatology at Medical University of South Carolina.

Stacia Fontenot has been hired as a director in the corporate finance practice for V. Graham.
She will work in the company’s Lafayette office.
Fontenot spent more than 20 years with Bristow Group Inc., an oil and gas services firm.
She earned a bachelor’s and a master’s in accounting, both from Texas A&M University.

Will Adams and Kelly Morgan have joined the staff of Beau Box Commercial Real Estate.
Adams spent the past 13 years as lead agent in Baton Rouge for Property One Inc. He has experience in capital allocation for real estate, development land, inherited family assets, build-to-suit projects, cash-flowing properties, surplus properties and tenant representation services.
Morgan has expertise in lease administration, development, construction and project management.
