Apply to our new program for startups using AI to improve U.S. infrastructure

Must read

AI has the potential to completely transform the infrastructure systems and structures that support everyday life in the U.S. Startups across the country are using AI to create more efficient, effective and equitable public services for all — from maintaining roads to improving education. To offer hands-on support to entrepreneurs tackling complex issues in the public sector, we’re launching Google for Startups AI Academy: American Infrastructure. This new, equity-free program is designed to help startups innovate responsibly and build an AI-supported future that empowers communities and improves lives on a local, state and nationwide level.

Over twelve weeks, participating startups will receive hands-on training from our AI experts, including an in-depth AI curriculum developed by our People + AI Research (PAIR) team and advanced sales and go-to-market workshops. Startups also gain access to the latest Google AI tools, exclusive insights and industry connections–resources they can continue to tap into after the program wraps up as part of the Google for Startups alumni community.

Google for Startups already supports many infrastructure-focused tech companies such as JustAir, which uses AI to monitor air pollution; Cambio, which is helping decarbonize commercial real estate; and Sensagrate, which aims to reduce traffic fatalities. For this AI Academy, we’re excited to partner closely with additional U.S.-based startups focused on using AI to boost productivity and solve problems in critical American industries such as (but not limited to):

  • Agriculture
  • Disaster prevention and response
  • Energy
  • Education
  • Environment and sustainability
  • Healthcare
  • Public safety
  • Smart manufacturing and logistics
  • Telecommunications
  • Transportation
  • Urban development
  • Water management
  • Workforce development and economic opportunity

Applications are now open, and we encourage eligible startups to apply here by June 17.
