The Treasure Chest will hold a grand opening for its new land-based casino at the end of Williams Boulevard near Lake Ponchartrain in Kenner on Thursday, June 6.
The opening marks the end of an era for the Treasure Chest’s nearby riverboat casino, which will shut down at 11:59 p.m on Saturday, June 1.
The new land-based facility features a 47,000-square-foot gambling hall — twice the size of its water-based counterpart — and 10,000 square feet of convention space, alongside four new restaurants.
Doors to the new casino located at 4540 Williams Boulevard will open at 8 a.m.
