The list includes 150 cities and those that made it to the top, “had to have good value, be a desirable place to live, have a strong job market and a high quality of life,” according to the list.

Here are the Kentucky cities that made the list:

Lexington received an overall score of 6.6 out of 10 and placed No. 15 in the list of the Best Places to Live.

Louisville ranked No. 42 in the list and received an overall score of 6.5 out of 10.

The Derby City placed No. 70 in the Best Places to Retire list.

One detail mentioned in the city’s profile is that people living in the city need to learn how to properly pronounce its name.

“‘Lou-uh-vull’ (with the ‘Lou’ and the ‘uh’ slightly combining) is the correct pronunciation,” the site says.
