Beaverton Paralympian part of blind athlete, Google collab

BEAVERTON Ore. (KPTV) – Eliana Mason was one of 11 athletes selected to be part of a collaboration between Google and the U.S. Association of Blind Athletes (USABA), the organization announced Monday.

Google Pixel was named the official global technology partner of the USABA. The partnership will help fans get closer to athletes named to the 2024 USABA Sports Ambassador Program, including Mason.

Mason, along with Portland’s Asya Miller, are part of the 2024 U.S.A. Goalball Women’s National Team that will compete this summer in Paris. They were also teammates on the teams that took silver at the 2020 Summer Paralympics in Tokyo and bronze in the 2016 event in Rio.

Mason, a Beaverton native, debuted with the national team at the 2014 Goalball World Championships in Finland, where they took gold.
