Rapid City Council authorizes bids for more than $12 million in infrastructure projects

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) – Several streets in Rapid City will get a makeover in the future.

Monday, the Rapid City Council authorized bids for community infrastructure projects which will cost more than $12 million.

Some of the projects authorized for bids include the Sioux Avenue, East Saint Charles and Riley Avenue project as well as the Creek Drive pavement rehabilitation project. Other projects include the Hillsview and Red Dale Drive project as well as the final phase of the Robbinsdale Phase 6 reconstruction projects.

The Sioux Avenue, East Saint Charles and Riley Avenue project would provide upgrades to sidewalks, curbs, pavement, water lines and other infrastructure.

In addition, the Robbinsdale projects would replace storm drains, sewer and water pipes, and pavement in the Robbinsdale area.
