Bossier Parish Community College will host a Computer Technology Career Event on Tuesday. This free event will introduce high school and middle school students to the vast opportunities in the field of technology.

Presented in partnership with BPCC’s Computer Technology Program and Cyber.org, the event will take place on Tuesday, March 4, from 9 am until 12 pm in the Coach Billy Montgomery Gymnasium on BPCC’s Bossier Campus, located at 6220 E. Texas Ave.

Students interested in technology careers will have the opportunity to hear from industry professionals, engage in a live Q&A panel, and explore career pathways in IT, cybersecurity, software development, and networking.

BPCC Middle School Summer Camp

Plan ahead for the BPCC Middle School Summer Camp, too.

At this camp BPPC will explore Arduinos. For those that do not know what these are, they are programmable microcontrollers. So, there will be a lot of coding at this camp. Students will use the Inventor’s Kit from SparkFun Electronics for this camp.

There is NO cost to attend the camp, but it is limited to the first 30 students to sign up.
Participants MUST be going into the 7th, 8th, or 9th grade. Register here: BPCC Middle School Summer Camp Registration.
