Washington, D.C. (February 24, 2025) – Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE), Entertainment Gang, U.S. Figure Skating, and NBC Sports today announced telecast plans and an added lineup of iconic figure skaters performing and presenting at Legacy on Ice, the skating tribute event benefiting the families, loved ones and first responders affected by the Ronald Reagan National Airport aviation tragedy. The event will be held at Capital One Arena in downtown Washington, D.C. on Sunday, March 2. Additional tickets are now available and new corporate sponsors have joined to support this event.
The newly announced cast features some of the skating world’s most beloved stars, including Jason Brown, Nathan Chen, Madison Chock & Evan Bates, Peggy Fleming, Nancy Kerrigan, Isabeau Levito, and Paul Wylie. The full list of featured talent is available below.
The Legacy on Ice live show will be available to a national audience on March 2 from 3–5 p.m. ET on Peacock, NBCUniversal’s streaming service, and will simulcast live on MSE’s independent media platform Monumental Sports Network (MNMT) and Monumental+ throughout the DMV region. NBC will broadcast an encore of the event on Sunday, March 30 at 1 p.m. ET.
Proceeds will benefit victims’ families and first responders through the Monumental Sports & Entertainment Foundation’s Legacy on Ice program.
There has also been a new website launched in conjunction with today’s announcement with the latest updated information on the program as well as a link to purchase tickets and donate directly: www.LegacyOnIce.com.
This event is made possible in part through generous contributions from partners including Venture Global, American Express, DXC Technology and MGM National Harbor, with more sponsorship announcements to come.
The two-hour program will feature performances on the ice from the current and former skating champions shared below and will weave in storytelling as a poignant tribute to the history of figure skating in the United States. Additionally, the first responders, the fallen and their families will be acknowledged in tributes of remembrance.
The MNMT simulcast of Legacy on Ice will be available both on linear tv and via MNMT’s digital streaming platform, Monumental+, within the network’s footprint, stretching from Delaware to Richmond, Va. Fans can watch the program through their Pay TV subscription, on monumentalplus.com, or by downloading the Monumental+ app on iOS, Android, Apple TV, Roku, and Amazon Fire TV and using an eligible TV Everywhere log-in.
