South Korea’s Yanolja has partnered with Google Cloud to develop an artificial intelligence (AI) agent specialized for the travel industry, leveraging Google’s global AI infrastructure and development platforms.

According to industry sources on Wednesday, Yanolja and Google Cloud signed a partnership agreement in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, with Yanolja Group’s Chief Technology Officer Lee Jun-young and Google Cloud Asia-Pacific Head Karan Bajwa in attendance.

Through this collaboration, Yanolja aims to enhance its AI-driven travel solutions by utilizing Google Cloud’s AI agent technology.

The company currently aggregates travel industry data from over 1.33 million businesses across 200 countries.

A Yanolja official noted that while the company has various collaborations with Amazon Web Services (AWS), it will not rely solely on Google Cloud for AI services.

The AI-powered travel assistant being developed will process user requests in real time, optimizing travel planning. For instance, a business traveler entering details about a trip’s destination, date, and preferences will receive AI-generated recommendations for flights, hotels, and transportation options. Yanolja explained that the AI system will continuously analyze real-time price fluctuations to provide the most cost-effective and optimized travel choices as the departure date approaches.

Yanolja has a strong existing relationship with Google, with key executives including CEO Kim Jong-yoon, Cloud CTO Jang Jung-shik, and technology chief Lee Jun-young all having previous experience at Google.

This partnership also positions Yanolja to leverage Google’s Android ecosystem when launching its AI-powered mobile travel assistant. The recent launch of Samsung’s Galaxy S25, which features extensive AI capabilities, is expected to accelerate demand for AI-based mobile travel solutions.

“We plan to expand AI-powered services rapidly across both B2C and B2B sectors, utilizing our extensive travel industry data,“ said an official from Yanolja.
