Montana awards statewide public facilities, infrastructure $3.4 million

The Montana Department of Commerce is awarding more than $3.4 million in grants for community facilities and infrastructure projects.

The work is funded by the department’s Community Development Block Grant Public and Community Facilities Program, which focuses on helping those making under 80 percent of the area median income.

Lincoln County’s Trego, Fortine, Stryker Community Hall will receive $600,000 thousand improving and expanding the space.

Wastewater systems in Madison County, Shelby and Wolf Point will each receive $700,000 for improvements, and the state is giving Superior $700,000 thousand dollars to build the Community Food Bank of Mineral County.
