Nearly $150,000 in grants are available for Tri-City nonprofits providing food and shelter, as well as rent or mortgage assistance, to community members in need.
United Way of Benton & Franklin Counties recently announced it has opened applications for its Emergency Food and Shelter Programs Funds for 2025. More than $97,000 is available for nonprofits serving Benton County and more than $49,000 for those in Franklin County.
Nonprofits must meet the following requirements to apply:
- Be a 501(c)3 nonprofit or agency in good standing with the IRS.
- Be eligible to receive federal funds.
- Have an accounting system.
- Have a valid Federal Employer Identification Number.
- Practice non-discrimination.
- Have the capacity to deliver emergency food programs.
- Have a board that meets at least quarterly.
