WORTHINGTON — The Nobles County Library is open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at 1106 Third Ave., Worthington. The library is closed Saturdays and Sundays. The Adrian Branch Library, 214 Maine Ave., Adrian, is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday; and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday (Labor Day to Memorial Day). The library is closed Wednesdays.

Please note: The Nobles County Libraries (Adrian and Worthington) are not accepting donations of items until further notice. Please do not leave donations outside of the building or put them in the book drops.

The Winter Reading Program has begun and ends March 31. Stop in at either the Worthington or Adrian Branch library to sign up and get your punch card. Participants must be at least 16 years old.

Read twelve books (or audio books/e-books) and return your punch card to the library to choose your prize. After you’ve turned in your completed card(s), please fill out a raffle ticket for the grand prize drawing.

Entrance: 1106 Third Ave. Please use the entrance on the south side of the Southwestern Minnesota Opportunity Council building, the door closest to 11th Street.

Friends of the Library Book Club: Feb. 24, time to be determined, Elk’s Lodge, 1105 Second Ave., Worthington, discussing the book “Lakota Woman” by Mary Crow Dog. All are welcome!

Story Time: 10 to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday.

Youth programming at Worthington library

Entrance & Hours: 206 11th St., second door to the south. Open noon to 5:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday; 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday; 9 a.m. to noon Friday. Closed Saturday and Sunday.

After School Programs: Stop by or call the children’s department at (507) 295-5346 to sign up your children. Children are responsible for their own ride to and from the library.

Monday: Wii U/Xbox gaming (grades 4-9), 3:15 to 5 p.m.

Tuesday: Kids Club (grades K-5), 3:30 to 5 p.m.

Wednesday: Story Time (toddlers-preschoolers), 10 to 11 a.m.; Just Gurlz (girls grades 5-9), 3:15 to 5 p.m.

Thursday: Kids Club (grades K-5), 3:30 to 5 p.m.

Books for adults: “The Murderess” by Laurie Notaro, “An Honorable Deception” by Roseanna M. White, “The Champagne Letters” by Kate MacIntosh, “The Memory Dress” by Jade Beer and “The Puzzle Box” by Danielle Trussoni.

Art Club: Join us at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, at Ecumen Meadows, 1801 College Way, south building, second floor in the Activity Room. The theme for this month is “butterflies”. There is no cost and all are welcome!
