Infrastructure is poised to top the list of private market allocation increases in 2025 for private wealth, as private markets continues to becoming a significant portion of clients’ portfolios, according to a recent survey by Hamilton Lane.

Nearly half (48%) of surveyed advisors plan to increase exposure to private infrastructure this year as more investors recognise its appeal, including stability, high barriers to entry, consistent cash flows, competitive returns, and diversification benefits.

Beyond infrastructure, private equity (45%) and private credit (39%) are also drawing increased interest for portfolio allocations, based on Hamilton Lane’s private wealth survey published on 31 Jan.
